My client, a multinational organisation, are a leading manufacturer and supplier of a wide range of Rolling Stock covering metros, tramways, suburban and regional trains and locomotives within the Transport sector. Due to ongoing Project they have immeidate requirement for an Electrical Production Supervisor based in their Melbourne depot.

Responsibilities

• Supervise shift production team to ensure compliance with customer delivery schedule.
• Delegate workload per shift as agreed with Production Manager ensuring milestones in production schedule are achieved on time to required standard.
• Strive for continuous improvement and optimization of production progress.
• Ensure workforce is equipped with required tooling, documentation and material for assigned tasks.
• Ensure compliance with OH&S requirements.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Tertiary or trade qualifications in an Electrical discipline are essential.
• Minimum 3 years experience in a Production Supervisor role, preferably in heavy engineering sector (eg. Rail, Defence, Automotive etc.).
• Competent in core electrical production engineering principles.
• Proven man-management skills.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to build a good team environment.
