Your privacy is important to Kinetic Recruitment
This statement outlines Kinetic Recruitment’s policy on how we manage your personal information. It is the policy of Kinetic Recruitment to respect the confidentiality of information and the privacy of individuals. Kinetic Recruitment is bound by the National Privacy Principles contained in the Privacy Amendment (Private Sector) Act 2000 (amendment to Privacy Act 1998) in Australia.

We undertake every effort to ensure that the information you submit to us remains private, and is used only for the purpose you agree to. This document reflects our commitment to you.

Collection
Personal information may be obtained from a resume or other like document submitted by you, from direct discussions with you, face-to-face, over the telephone and electronically, from others who know you and in the process of formal reference checking, from online forms submitted to us and from public sources such as newspapers or websites.

We primarily hold personal information to assist you in finding a suitable position, enable consultants to better service your career requirements, to ensure we are familiar with and fully understand your needs and to inform you of events, services and possible job opportunities

Disclosure
We may disclose your personal information for the purposes for which it is primarily held (as above) or for a related secondary purpose. In some cases we may only disclose information with your consent. We may disclose your personal information where we are under a legal duty to do so, including circumstances where we are under a lawful duty of care to disclose information. Where we contract out some services, it is possible that our contractors may see some of your personal information.

Storage of personal information
Safeguarding the privacy of your information is important to us, whether you interact with us personally, by phone, mail, over the internet or other electronic medium. We hold personal information in a combination of secure computer storage facilities and paper-based files and other records, and take steps to protect the personal information we hold from misuse, loss, unauthorised access, modification or disclosure.

We may need to maintain records for a significant period of time. However, when we consider information is no longer needed, we will remove any details that will identify you or we will securely destroy the records.

Kinetic Recruitment endeavours to ensure that the personal information it holds is accurate and up to date. We realise that information changes frequently with changes of address and other personal circumstances. We generally update your customer information over the telephone. Please advise your consultant when your personal details change.

Access
Subject to some exceptions that are set out in the National Privacy Principles, you can gain access to the personal information that we hold about you. We may refuse access if it would interfere with the privacy rights of other persons or if it would breach any confidentiality that attaches to that information.
